I've been living in Shanghai for a little over a month, but Jinqiao dosen't seem to have the same amount of mops as the rest of the city. However, I was just down in Hong Kong for a week, and I saw them EVERYWHERE. The friends I was traveling with could not figure out why I kept dissolving into laughter every time we'd pass a mop leaning against a wall, a building, a fence, a gate… Thank you!

The reason I am so 'moppishly prolific' is because your insanity is slowly spreading through Changchun. On Tuesday, an angry friend emailed me two photos of mops which I have yet to submit. Wednesday, a drunk friend yelled at me for the fact that he had stopped mid-walk to photograph the most amazing mop in the world. Thursday, I and a cold friend leapt off a bus before our stop and ran back 100 metres to photograph levitating mops. It was all the same friend. Nonetheless, what have you done?
