He even came to her music studio to try to get the last word in. Luo Hongmei couldn’t focus on her cello with him pacing and shouting.

The silent treatment wasn’t any better.

If she had known marriage was going to be like this, she’d have focused on her career instead. Hell, maybe she could have ended up as 1st Cello in the National symphony instead of just being an underpaid music teacher and 3rd cello in a sad neighbourhood quartet.

She suddenly felt very weary.
